O TRÁFEGO RODOVIÁRIO INDUZIU AS CONDIÇÕES AMBIENTAIS DO AR NOS EMPREENDEDORES DE RUA EM AKURE-SOUTH LGA. ESTADO DE ONDO, NIGÉRIA

O corredor rodoviário serve como um importante centro para os empresários de rua exporem seus itens e realizarem seus negócios na maioria das cidades africanas. O principal objetivo desta pesquisa é realizar uma análise de beira de estrada do ar ao longo do corredor de rua em outro corredor para determinar a quantidade de monóxido de carbono (CO), dióxido de enxofre (SO2), dióxido de nitrogênio (NO2) e material particulado (PM10) que são subprodutos dos empreendedores de rua na rua selecionada em Akure, Estado de Ondo, Nigéria. Da mesma forma, tanto a análise de pesquisa como a análise de experimentos foram implementadas para obter o estado real de alguns dos poluentes atmosféricos comuns no corredor de estudo. Os resultados mostram que esses empreendedores informais são muito afetados pelo poluente atmosférico do tráfego rodoviário; como 12,45% dos entrevistados têm alta descarga nasal, 12,21% dos entrevistados relataram alta irritação na garganta, 12,21% dos entrevistados tossem freqüentemente, 4,72% relataram alto nível de falta de ar e 4,11% relataram alta condição asmática. Embora tenha sido observado que entre 13,943ppm a 3,225ppm de monóxido de carbono, 0,025 ppm a 0,007 ppm de dióxido de enxofre, 0,071 ppm a 0,016ppm de dióxido de nitrogênio e 1156.000 µg/m3 a 328.260µg/m3 de matéria particulada 10 (PM10) é gerada ao longo dos corredores de estudo. O estudo recomenda que os empresários dos setores informais que operam ao longo dos corredores rodoviários devem realizar seus negócios a pelo menos 150m de distância dos principais eixos rodoviários para evitar a exposição excessiva à poluição do ar gerada pelos automóveis, pois isso levará a uma diminuição dos riscos à saúde ocasionados pela exposição excessiva.
