Public service management has undergone several transformations since its existence. More and more, the aim is to provide the population with an accessible, non-discriminatory, transparent, efficient, legal service with the best possible results. Municipalities represent the public administration and have autonomy with their own legal personality, assets and income. They carry out activities of the public administration, with decentralized administrative and financial management, aiming to present the best possible operation. As with other professional councils, the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine of the state of Paraíba (CRMV-PB) aims to guide, supervise, supervise and discipline the exercise of the profession, ensuring the prestige and good name of this and those who exercise. The objective was to describe the impacts arising from the existence of a manager in the inspection of the CRMV-PB, as well as the implementation of administrative tools and new work methodologies, compared to the results obtained in 2021. The situation of the sector prior to January and 2021 was analyzed and the results were monitored based on the application of management tools, knowledge of the profile of inspectors, monthly meetings and establishment of goals, in addition to monitoring inspections. The presence of a coordinator in the sector facilitates the identification of weaknesses and immediate correction. Understanding and understanding industry goals, as well as breaking past practices, contributes to the results. Monthly meetings are a time to get closer to the sector's members. Management tools allow you to present the most in-depth purposes of the sector. There was a very good adherence to the new way of functioning in the sector, improving communication, including with other sectors. There was a positive impact on the number of targets inspected and on the results accounting of the autarchy. It is perceived that the management of a sector, applying appropriate tools and methods is important to guide productive work and obtain achievable results.
