Resumo

A Plataforma Continental Amazônica (PCA) é composta por numerosos habitats bentônicos, que abrigam uma grande diversidade de invertebrados, especialmente crustáceos. No entanto, devido à complexidade dos ecossistemas, o conhecimento sobre a fauna de crustáceos ainda é incompleto. Relatamos aqui o registro mais setentrional do Brasil de duas espécies de caranguejos braquióuros, Teleophrys pococki Rathbun, 1924 (Mithracidae) e Euchirograpsus americanus A. Milne-Edwards, 1880 (Plagusiidae), associadas ao Grande Sistema de Recifes da Amazônia (GARS) (Estado do Amapá), além de fornecer uma descrição de seus primeiros gonópodes (G1). Ambos os espécimes machos, E. americanus e T. pococki, foram coletados acidentalmente durante operações de pesca comercial do pargo vermelho Lutjanus purpureus (Poey, 1866) no ACS (norte do Brasil), em profundidades de até 70 m, em agosto de 2023 e setembro de 2025. A presença de ambas as espécies no GARS aumenta a biodiversidade de crustáceos nesse ecossistema e destaca a necessidade de mais estudos na região para avaliar sua verdadeira diversidade e desenvolver planos de manejo focados na conservação das espécies.
